Portraits of Purpose: A Tribute to Ed Uygongco at 95

On June 16, we celebrated a remarkable milestone that is the 95th birthday of Ed Uygongco. A renowned artist, philanthropist, and storyteller. In partnership with ArtePintura Gallery, his special online solo show Portraits of Purpose was launched to honor not just his artistic journey, but also his enduring commitment to giving back.

At 95, Tito Ed continues to paint with the same passion he’s carried all his life. The exhibit features a collection of powerful portraits of women leaders who’ve inspired change, as well as a glimpse of his travels and memories over the decades through his personal art collection. But what makes this show truly special is its heart. Proceeds from each artwork go directly to the Uygongco Foundation, which supports educational scholarships for children in Iloilo City.

Though the exhibit began in June, the opportunity to support this cause remains open. Each piece you bring home is more than a work of art, it’s a gesture of hope, an investment in the future of young scholars, and a celebration of a life well-lived.
